In 1894, John Wesley Fallas deeded all his property in Section 24 (Fallasburg) to his two sons, for which he was to receive “love and affection and building a barn on said premises within one year.” The construction was started in 1894 and completed in 1896 the year John Fallas passed away. The boards for the barn were milled in Greenville and floated down the Flat River until they reached Fallasburg.
