2025-12 Past

We participated in Christmas Through Lowell this year, and a total of 2,234 people visited the Schoolhouse to shop!  We had a fantastic turnout at the Christmas Through Lowell Event, with 2,234 people coming through the schoolhouse doors to shop with us. We had a diverse range of vendors, supplying baked goods, pottery, alpaca yarn, authors selling books, and more. We also had a food truck, hot cocoa, and s’mores by a bonfire for people to enjoy outside.

A “Hallmark” situation occurred during the event, fit for the beginning of the Holiday season. The Lowell Chamber supposedly contacted the owner of a food truck from Detroit, ‘The Wizard’ Magical Food Express, to work selling food at Christmas Through Lowell, in town. They exchanged information, and the owner, Rick, signed a contract paying for a spot for three days. When Rick arrived in Lowell at the Chamber Office on Saturday, his heart sank. The chamber told him, “We do not hire food trucks for this event.” Unfortunately, Rick had been scammed online. Someone pretended to be a Lowell Chamber member and got him to pay for a spot. He had nowhere to go and a truck full of food. Jessica, who works at the Chamber, called Bruce Doll, FHS President, and told him the story. She asked if we had room for Rick to join us at the Fallasburg Schoolhouse. Bruce gave a resounding, “Of course we do!” We were fortunate to host Rick for two days, with food that satisfied every palate. What a turn of events. Rick will return on July 25th, 2026, to join us for the Fallasburg Village Celebration.
