About the Bike Tour
The Fallasburg Historical Society’s Covered Bridge Bike Tour offers a scenic ride through our beautiful West Michigan countryside with marked routes, maps, SAG, wonderful refreshments along the way, and a great homemade Italian Country Style meal with all the trimmings at the end of your trip. All roads begin and end in Historic Fallasburg Village.
Larry Martin, Fallasburg Historical Society Board Member and Fallas Family descendant embraced the therapeutic value of bicycle touring as a means to gain strength after successfully beating Cancer. He brainstormed the Covered Bridge Bike Tour for fitness and fundraising, was the architect of our routes, our ongoing goodwill ambassador, and jack of all trades on tour day. Tragically, Larry was hit and killed on his bike while out for an afternoon tune-up ride the day before our 17TH Annual Tour. The Fallasburg Historical Society has been honored to pledge since 2011 in Larry Martin’s memory, “$1 Per Rider,” a program benefitting the League of Michigan Bicyclists lobbying efforts to make Michigan a safer place to bike.
